About Ms. Krysta

Hi, I’m Ms. Krysta. I want to share a bit about my journey, what I’ve been creating over the past few years, and what’s new at Flynotes.
I am a multi-talented professional who blends expertise in music, art, and education in everything I do. In 2020, alongside my 12-year-old son Augustine, I co-founded Flynotes Inc.—an umbrella organization dedicated to supporting early childhood development and beyond, while fostering awareness and appreciation for the arts.
For nearly six years, I’ve been honored to serve as the weekly music teacher and moving-up ceremony accompanist at Garden City Nursery School and St. Mark’s Nursery School in Rockville Centre. Meanwhile, Flynotes has grown into a vibrant community where music, creativity, and connection come alive.
My teaching philosophy was deeply shaped by my grandmother, who had a natural gift for encouraging expression and play through song. Even as dementia touched her later years, music remained a clear and comforting thread. Watching her taught me the power of presence — of honoring each moment as it is — and that presence is woven through every Flynotes class and event.
One of the hallmarks of Flynotes is my live, acoustic, interactive music performances, powered by my classically trained voice. Each class features beloved traditional children’s songs with a fresh, modern twist. These engaging sessions are designed for children ages 9 months to 7 years, and just as much about bringing parents together to build lasting friendships.
With a colorful mix of instruments, seasonal songs, and playful activities like parachute games, bubbles, and drum circles, Flynotes classes are joyful celebrations for the whole family.
I travel anywhere on Long Island, NY, bringing music directly to you, and offer weekly music sessions at select locations throughout the year. In addition to music, I offer high-quality face painting packages for events, featuring a director-style chair for makeovers and a beautiful, compact paint case with legs. I also create commissioned murals and custom-painted ukuleles.
I believe music and art are essential at every stage of life, offering healing and grounding by bringing us fully into the present moment. On my own path as a single mom, I faced times of self-abandonment while caring deeply for my family. Though I wouldn’t change the journey I’ve walked, I am now stepping boldly into the wellness community—bringing the lessons I’ve learned into empowering families and women seeking to reconnect with themselves.
Whether you join a “We FLY Together” music class, have enjoyed one of my murals or performances, or simply support from afar, welcome to the Flynotes community.
